A new hymn tune for "Judge eternal, throned in splendor" named Oakdale in honor of the Chicago street on which it was composed. This tune is a response to the growing vitrol and politically instability in our country, praying the words "cleanse the body of this nation" in a new way. It has become a favorite hymn at St. James, and one which congregations will quickly grasp and remember.

Download includes a TIFF file for the bulletin, a PDF of the harmonization, and a PDF of an optional descant and reharmonization for verse 3. You may reproduce the descant as necessary for your choir.
