A new setting of the Litany of Thanksgiving for a Church (BCP 1979 p. 578-9) for cantor, choir, and congregation. The Litany of Thanksgiving for a Church is appropriate for the anniversary of the dedication or the consecration of a church. It is also appropriate for celebrations of a church's fabric, such as the annual meeting.
 
The music is based on "A Mighty Fortress is our God," as adapted for Anglican Chant in many psalters. The familiarity of this tune will make the refrain immediately accessible to any congregation.
